Run away!

« on: February 23, 2008, 04:55:00 AM »

Well, new members let 'old' members here know who they are, and that they've joined the forum. The old members will, hopefully, be nice and welcome them.

To be honest, it was already comic 127 when I started reading, thanks to a link at "GC." If you read that webcomic you should know what I'm talking about, otherwise, I don't know if I'm allowed to mention it. So, I'm basically a new member.

Greetings! I am Strokend. I'm a male 'domestic cat' (house cat?), like Quintet (I think she's one, atleast), but with brown fur, in character.

Oh, heck, I've been idolizing this comic from the shadows for long enough. I might as well slink out and make a few introductions.

I'm Danke, and I found the comic at about page 30 or so over on SROA. I love it for the art as well as the story, and Zach, you amaze me in every new strip with your incredible storyboard-like sequences.

So hello, everyone. Nice to meet you.

Hello everyone. I'm sabsVIRIDiiAN, though you can call me Sabs. I've been emailing Zach for a while during updates, though I discovered the webcomic around...page 75. It's nice to meet you all. :]

I love to write, and though lately I've digressed quite a bit from fanfiction, I love this webcomic so much. In the future, I might do a story/fan-written arch to it. <3

And...umm...Meander is my favorite character. Though Quintet bears pretty close, and she might win my affection over depending on what character development for her is coming up.

Howdy, the name's Stella and I've been stalking this comic since its beginnings in SROA.

My favorite character is dear old Mr. Rule, bless his heart.  I'm a sucker for grumpy old characters and characters with strong convictions.  Plus he's a purple wolf, what's not to like.

Hello ... the name's wyeth

this comic is great and I really like this "dashed" art... it kinda reminds me of my own drawing style.
I forgot where I heard about this webcomic, so I guess thats all...

Why, of course! I love roleplaying. I'd really love to roleplay a hedgehog, but I'm not sure if I should, since that's what I usually represent my 'fursona' as. Past experiences with roleplaying my fursona have often resulted in the fursona developing such a personality that it is no longer a fursona...

However, I've got this really fun character concept for a red squirrel in my head. A total gossip and a tad full of herself.

I realized I never said who my favorite character was! I love all the characters, but I was always interested in Polarizing. So intelligent, and with mindsets and theories that seem far more correct than those of our protagonists... yet still irreversibly 'bad'. Plus, I mean, he's an anteater with an evil leaf-mask. What's not to love?

Flowerlark is pretty much a given character if you know the webcomic. She's one of the super-active characters (meaning she's in the comic most of the time). If you don't know who she is, you probably don't know the webcomic. Tongue

Well hey hey hey, now, no need for snarky-snark. Grin For those of us who read through the whole thing a long time ago and really only look for updates, there's bound to be characters or details that slip through the cracks.  Shocked

Hey, I'm here as The Burning.  I was reading QC and saw the flipbook ad on the Projectwonderful panels and clicked and fell in love.  There's only been 1 page added since I started reading and I've read it all.  If this all were to be published in comic book format it would be a great story for each arc.

« Reply #23 on: March 24, 2008, 10:35:59 PM »

Why hullo there. I am for the purposes of this forum 83457 (Beast). I read the whole of 10%+ two nights ago, finishing at around 4am and 2 minutes from the end of my Flogging Molly playlist. I remember seeing a page or two on SROA, but it was a link through some fanart by the creator of the BBA comic that I found this place. =) I will probably read through it again soon (currently trapped in dialup-land).

I would certainly be interested in RP if Zach doesn't mind us using his idea, in which case I have in mind a fossa character. (Fossas are catlike animals related to the mongoose.) Her style will probably be... mm, sloth and hyena or something else active to counter the sloth. Ah, well, subject to change as the ideas flow, yes?

Pleasure to meet you all--oh, and fyi female pronouns apply to me.

Greetings, 7331 83457 and Luna. (Incase you didn't realize, 7331 is the opposite of 1337... I REALLY dislike when people say that they are elite (1337) through the use of numbers. A small use of numbers for words is alright (that is, 1337 text), but not calling oneself 1337 for it, to me)
Yeh, I suppose I could start it up here...

Strokened: It's fine, I put "1337" in there only as a hint as to how to read my name (honestly, I figured I needed some explanation so my all-numeral username wouldn't get me deleted, mistaken for a bot). Hello, fellow fans~ I found NONFA through the Feral Comica Archive a while back. I've been sort of obsessively following it since. x3
I've stalked this forum for a while, wondering whether or not I should join. Finally, the black-hole graity sucked me in o.o

Anyways. I'm Kest. -waves-

Er...on a side note...I use signs like 'xD', 'x3' '=)', 'o.o', '<3' and '~' waay too much. ^^'

I love the idea of a NONFA RP. Zach has come up with a terribly interesting world for his comics. =)
I've been RP-ing for upwards of four years, so whenever I read an interesting book or comic, I can't help but toy with the idea of throwing my own personal character into that book or comic's world. It's sorta second-nature now. xD
-pokes fan-character- Thus, Motion was born.

I think I'm rambling. Anyways, hello. ^^

'Eya Kest. SF's yer char's scent name, is it? TQ (Tranq) and GC (Stroll) here. Nice of ya to post here now Tongue

Though, seriously, what's with the '~' thing? I never really got that. Most people call the 'signs' like 'xD', 'x3', etc... "emoticons", since they're in the form of icons a lot. Or some other reason. I dunno.

Hello!

I've been being blown away by this comic for some time.  I think I came in about the time when Meander and Quintet were being tested.  Zach, I am extremely impressed and delighted by your ability to be so technically accurate and do such gonzo staging and wild yet carefully chosen colors that inform the reader what is happening as well as just being real PURDY.  It is a challenging comic to follow, but that's just right for the subject matter.  The ambiguity works.
I guess I love how mindfully it's made.  I'm done gushing.

  For now.

i'm normaly going by kuwaizair on many places but use kaiyodei here and that doodle blog because recently for some reason there is an obcessment over a 'stuck' coyote stuck in my head somewhere and an option to choose one for a fursona for a while.

I found this comic first on Kay Fedewa's directory but the banner's oekakiness and description made me think it was somethign else and a maybe sappy but then the artist know as Skulldog said it was good so I went and read it.

as for my coyote maybe its some subcousious symbolic psudo totem-guided ness as some mangled reserch has led me to belive that there are teachings behind them like not fooling yourself and I wan to be a differnt me. like the idiots on sitcoms and idiot teen girl movies.

i wanted to do my own talking animal comic because everyone and their mom has one, and if I make a comic about dogs fighting foxes who are fighting bears who need to hire dinosaurs to help I wll be beloved.
but mine is a bit mangled now, hopefully it can be sorted out.

I don't recall what page it was when I started reading. somewhere awkard.

'Tis the net, friend. Nobody knows who you are here. 'Tis the true beauty of the net!

true but i'm going though a 6 year rough patch of wanting to reinvent myself by loss, gain, assimilation, reversion. dump, restart refresh. not working. you'd think why can't i just be me. T_T and >_< and such, I could i woud but fear of rejection, embrassment and drawing bad attion to myself without doing anything is the issue.
I was me I was good but things happen.
I'd find my self it there was self to find.
you'd think RP could help.

plus If I moddle a character after me I'd posslby share some Meander-esque traits, its not that i'm a complete spazz with add, its just i'm all over the place in my head, i can have attintion, inattention, obcesment and lack of intrest. I start many projects and finish few, and I jump from wanting to do things and then stoping. Selective memories and intrests.
no kidding, I was in special ed classes for behaviors, when you give me 3 grade lower classes were you are read to and get quizzed on it, I could draw and listen at the same time. TRUE story!, heck that teacher saw me and my mom in a resturant a whileback and mentioned how she tryed to get me not to scribble in class and how i did worse.
same for idiot classes in highschool.
hahahaha! ok so its not that amazing. I can't do math and chew gum and hold an intelluctal debate at the same time.

Same for me, excluding the spec ed class and stuff after that. I can do math, chew gum, walk, imagine, and hold an intellectual conversation all at the same time... Sometimes, uncommonly that much. Then there are times when all I can do is breath. Rarely, but sometimes.

Same for me and the drawing thing, in fact it's really rare for me not to be drawing.  I'm thankful most of my classes are too large for the professors to notice that my notebook is actually a sketchbook.  If they're too small I usually refrain from making art because I don't want to seem rude.

Im done some observation/photography last year at a wild life park where Kalaks lived, sorrowfull the female Kalak died because of byblesy, a disease trasported by ticks Sad

So I have much photography and some videos about them. You may saw some at my youtube acc http://youtube.com/profile?user=Woofer86

So if I can help you with reference, I can upload my videos to sendspace and also my whole bunch of photos, if you need them. I hope that I can help.

Okey. I started uploading about 500m of vids... I already uploaded 3 package from the 5 overall.

http://www.sendspace.com/file/8fcw2z

http://www.sendspace.com/file/bmvon9

Well the grumpy vid where the female was harhassing the quite defensive but not submitting male... Well I contacted someone from Argentina whom are familiar with Kalaks, and even she had no idea why they were grumpy. She said that Maybe, it was because of the stress and relative small space of there enclosurement... Still the She-Kalak is dead, my dear Plumfy Sad so these are the only footage where they are togather. It is quite sad, she was a new pair of the much older male Kalak, and she did not had litters before she died out of the fault of human care...
I hope this summer, he get a new pair and I will be able to see them and capture some new footage with my Canon /what my avatar held/...

So I have much photography and some videos about them. You may saw some at my youtube acc http://youtube.com/profile?user=Woofer86

So if I can help you with reference, I can upload my videos to sendspace and also my whole bunch of photos, if you need them. I hope that I can help.

haha yeh I sent you here from the 'unanimated movie' version of Nature of natue's art, episode 1 10%+ or what ever we'll call it.

'Ello. I'm Devilchun and (obviously xD) I'm new. Not new to the comic - I've been idolizing it for some time - but a complete beginner in the community. :x In character, I'm either one of two options: a silver serval, Xerid, or her melanistic brother, Vector.

Yay?

Hello, new member here. You can call me Birdie. :3

I just started reading NofNA about a week ago, and I just read through to the end. Needless to say, I nearly flung my mouse when I couldn't get to the next page.

Haven't thought about what I might be in character yet. I think I will look around a bit before deciding on that.

Hello Birdie! Yeah, we don't have much pages here... Well, Zach doesn't. It's his comic, afterall.

And, just as an idea, we have several canines and felines in the RP already... We don't have newts, snakes, and very little birds and ... I don't know what category armadillos fall into *sticks tongue out*.

They're Xenarthans, along with anteaters and sloths. Whoo, I actually remembered something from Biology.

Well, I guess I might as well make my first post here. Um. Well. So, obviously I'm a follower of the comic. I check compulsively for new pages and even new comments on the pages. I love seeing people's reactions to each new plot twist or revelation or stunning fight scene, and finding out what theories and opinions form because of them. Which is why I'm sad this forum seems to hardly get posted on! So I hope maybe we can start up some discussion? The world of NofNA is one unlike anything I've seen, and so open to possibility.

Nature of Nature's Art is not a comic.

It's a beautifully worded Graphic Novel, with art as the words where there are none.

Darn, I wish these forums weren't so dead, with the amount of comment activity I'm surprised the forum community is nonexistent. And Nofna RP could have really gone somewhere too.

Hey, all! Just found this comic and I really enjoy it.

Are these forums all that active, though? Seems like the last time they were really cooking was 2008.

It's strange that a comic with so much reader generated discussion would confine itself to a difficult to read page-by-page comment system.
